Chosen Charity

Since 2004 GHRL have made a donation every quarter to a nominated Chosen Charity. Each quarter a Charity has been selected having been nominated by one of the GHRL Interim Management Team, and is usually one with which they have had either a personal link, or a close interest in some particular way.

GHRL in the Community: GHRL are proud to support as our Chosen Charity for the period April to June 2008, inspire.

inspire, one of Scotland’s largest charities, supports around 600 children, young people and adults with learning disabilities through a variety of unique projects ranging from residential housing services to employment initiatives. The charity aims to provide everyone who uses its services with the right amount and type of support so that they can enjoy the life experiences that most of us take for granted. inspire has two social enterprise companies on Aberdeen’s Beach Boulevard - Café Coast, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and use wifi or a sumptuous three-course lunch with colleagues; and inspire conferences offering state-of-the-art meeting and conference facilities for hire. Millbank Primary School SEN Base provides educational support to children in the Nairn area who are of Primary School age and who have Special Educational Needs. GHRL in the Community: GHRL are proud to support as our Chosen Charity for the period October to December 2007, The ARCHIE Fund.

The ARCHIE Fund aims to provide the “extras” for the children, young people and their families whom they care for across the North East of Scotland. They are committed to make a difference wherever their care is received, whether in Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital or in the many community sites where specialist paediatric healthcare is provided.
